David Bisbal Biography
David Bisbal is originally from Almeria, Spain. His interest in music started from an early age, at the age of 18 he sung with the orchestra “Orquesta Expresiones”. Early in his career he was also second finalist in the shortlist for the Spanish Eurovision. The exposure from this resulted in him being given a record deal by Vale Music. Bisbal's first CD “Corazón Latino” was released in 2002. The CD became a great success, becoming extremely popular in Spain and giving him the “Album of the Year”, and “Best New Artist” award at the “Premios de la Musica” and “Premios Amigo” music awards.
His popularity spread year later as he toured latin America at over 80 sell out venues. The single from his first album, “Lloraré las penas” topped the Billboard “Latin Tropical/Salsa” and received a Latin Grammy for best new artist in the same year.
His next three albums “Buleria”, “Todo Por Ustedes” and “David Bisbal Edicion Europeo” proved just as popular as the first and included more influence of flamenco and world music.
His most recent album, “Premonición” shows increasing flamenco, salsa and world influences and has so far given Bisbal five platinum disks from it. The CD is available direct from our site, Click on the album for more info.
