Biography
Jobim was founder and leader of the “bossa nova” movement which had a profound influence within Brazil and beyond, leaving an indelible imprint on 20th century music, propelling Brazil onto the world scene. Jobim’s words were harmony and wholeness, his belief that song was a medium of integration between self and nature, identifying the feelings and emotions of desires of the body with rhythms of the landscape.
